Things like:

1.      Automotive products (including fuel)

2.      Oil Paint (as opposed to water-based latex paint)

3.      Yard chemicals

4.      Cleaners

5.      Miscellaneous things like:

a.      Mercury

b.      Pool Chemicals

c.      Medicines

Check out this site for details.

It will be the 2016 Collection Day, August 20, 2016, 9:00 to 2:00, at the Mason County Road Commission building located at 510 E State St, Scottville, MI 49454.

If you are curious about where these wastes go and how they are handled, check out the web site for Drug & Laboratory Disposal, Inc.

The Mason-Lake Conservation District coordinates the program and assists the Household Hazardous Waste Committee with organization. The program is paid for in Mason County by allocations from Mason County Commissioners, Townships and Municipalities, and donations from OxyChem Co. of Ludington, local organizations and individuals.

Participation is free and anonymous, but donations are welcome.   PO Box 177; Ludington, MI 49431
