Help treat and remove a variety of invasive plant species at Cartier Park. We’ll be cutting and chemically treating Oriental Bittersweet, an aggressive vine that chokes out woody plants. We’ll be working with the North Country Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (NCCISMA). A discussion to help identify these plants will take place before we start. For this event we’re asking individuals and groups to signup to be paired into teams. Meet at the dog park by at the end of Rath Ave. Bring water, heavy gloves and wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, eye protection and closed toed shoes. Event will be held in fair weather, and sometimes wraps up early, depending on site conditions.
Masks are required until the we disperses into smaller groups. Please observe social distancing protocols when in close proximity of other’s outside of your household.
